Privacy Policy

This notice explains what the Raqibni school bus tracking app collects, how it is used and how it is protected.

What we collect

• Parent details: name, mobile number, email (optional) and profile photo if added.
• Child details: name, date of birth, grade, school and photo if the parent adds one.
• Pickup address: the address and the map location the parent sets.
• Authorised persons: names and numbers of people the parent allows to receive the child.
• Bus location: the supervisor's device location, sent only while a trip is in progress, so parents can follow the bus.
• Usage data: a device identifier for push notifications, device type and which screens are opened in the app.

How we use it

• To run the school transport service: planning trips, recording boarding and drop-off, confirming hand-over.
• To notify parents about their child's trip.
• To let parents follow the bus during a trip.
• To improve the service through aggregated usage statistics.

We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

• The school staff, supervisor and driver responsible for the child's bus, to the extent needed for their work.
• Technical providers: Google Maps for maps, Firebase for notifications, Google Analytics for usage statistics.
• Authorities where required by law.

Children's data

A child's data is collected only from their parent or guardian, is used solely to operate the transport service, and is never used for marketing.

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept while the account remains subscribed. Trip location records and attachments are deleted once they are no longer needed operationally, and usage statistics are deleted automatically after 180 days. To request deletion of an account and its data, contact us through the Contact page or the email below; requests are completed within 30 days.

Security

Data is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and access is restricted by role. No system can be guaranteed absolutely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect it.

Your rights

You can view and edit your data in the app, or ask us for a copy or for its deletion.

Changes

We may update this notice; updates apply from the date they are published on this page.
